EXCLUSIVE ARTIST WORKSHOP FOR TEENS
Thursday, July 13 3:30-4:30PM RSVP >>
I traveled to St. Chamas, France this April to complete The Look e Listen Artist Residency.I spent ten days exploring the South of France, drawing and observing the colors and the landscape. Bleu-Jaune Champ is a body of work that departs from this landscape but surfs in a dream like state. Re-occurring forms and figures that have sifted through my work for years arrive in the shapes of vases, arches, flowers, moons and shoes. In this work, memory, form, and line play a role in a story I can’t quite predict and don’t want to rationalize. Ideally, if I am doing this work well, I am always one step behind the painting…chasing it to the finish line.
