Street Art: Galaxies

The street-art movement marked by artists around the world has placed graffiti on the map and grown to be an accepted creative outlet. In this camp, students will study graffiti as a base for making their own street-art paintings that are galaxy themed.. Students will work on large-scale wood panels using acrylic and spray paint.
- Learn how to use spray paint, acrylic paint, and Exacto knives
- Experiment with techniques like soft mist, raised stencils, bounced paint and creating comets

Consistent in numerous Manga lore and stories, is the theme of characters with energy powers. Students will discover how to push their illustration skills further with Adobe Photoshop, through advanced lighting and filter effects, in order to produce a team of heroes and villains, clashing with supernatural abilities. During this camp, students will investigate the illustrated physics of energy beams, blasts, and other electric bursts, as well as the dynamic body positions necessary to produce these charges.

Flow art, also known as acrylic pour painting, is a form of abstract art that uses acrylic paints with a variety of consistencies to create different effects. Layers of paint are poured into a cup, which then react with each other when combined to create organic free-flowing abstract compositions.
