Designed for pure beginners, seeking thoughtful introductory experiences across projects that shuffle across drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media. Classes are project-based with a fun and engaging curriculum that allows students to learn essential skills across art making through teacher led demonstrations, material explorations and hands-on assistance.

Adult Art Shuffle Plus
Truly unique program for experienced students who want to work in a small group setting exploring the medium and subject matter of their choice. Professional artist educators guide students through individualized projects by providing one-on-one guidance and inspiration.

Teen Art Shuffle
Our core teen art program that allows students to become well-rounded artists by shuffling projects across drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media. Students engage in One River School’s innovative curriculum inspired by contemporary artists that stimulates their imagination and helps them develop essential technical skills in a fun classroom environment.

Teen Focus on Drawing
Designed for teen students who want to become experienced drawers with strong technical skills. Students master the principles of using line, tone, light, texture, composition, spacial depth and perspective through fun and engaging drawing projects.

Teen Focus on Manga
Allows students to develop skills across illustration, character design and storytelling while concentrating on traditional and contemporary Japanese Manga style. Students use illustration markers, Sakura pens, Kuretaka ink nibs and watercolors to create inspiring artworks that represent their unique artistic voice inspired by Manga.

Teen Digital Art Shuffle
Our core digital art and design class that brings fine art and technology together by providing students with the tools, software and inspiration to make art on a virtual canvas. Students shuffle projects across digital drawing, digital paintings, graphic designs and animation using the latest software and digital tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Animate and XP-Pen Tablets.

Teen Focus on Animation
Takes aspiring animators on a journey across animation techniques and taking their skills in character development, figure motion, lip syncing, frame-by-frame, tweening to the next level.
*Students must demonstrate experience using Adobe Animate or have completed a minimum of one year in One River School’s core digital program, Digital Art Shuffle.

Teen Photo Shuffle
Photo Shuffle explores the technical and conceptual skills needed for teen students to realize their photography visions. Students experiment with different approaches to taking photos while strengthening their ability to think creatively, see the world through the camera’s lens and create photography as a form of artistic expression.

Portfolio Development
Our portfolio development program offers a comprehensive and rigorous preparatory experience that provides a unique experience for teenagers looking to pursue art in college. Students will create a body of work that demonstrates experimentation with materials, ideas, and an overall approach to art-making which is investigative, ambitious, and individualized. This class is designed for advanced teen artists grades 9-12, and all artist quality materials are included.

Kids Art Shuffle PLUS is our advanced art program for students in Grades 3-5 who want a more rigorous art experience, challenging projects and a longer studio practice time. Young artists complete ambitious artworks across drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media. Students engage in One River School’s innovative curriculum inspired by contemporary artists that stimulates their imagination and helps them develop essential technical skills in a fun classroom environment.

Designed for students Grades 3-5 who want to become experienced drawers with strong technical skills. Kids Focus on Cartooning
Designed for students in Grades 3-5 who want to learn the fundamentals of cartooning and illustration through fun projects that stimulate their imagination. Students create original characters, dynamic narratives, and compelling storylines inspired by today’s most important cartoonists and animators.

Kids Focus on Making
Focus on Making for Grades 3-5 explores tactile projects across a variety of three dimensional media including clay sculpture, plaster, wire, collage and found objects. Students engage in One River School’s innovative curriculum inspired by contemporary artists that stimulates their imagination and helps them develop essential technical skills in a fun classroom environment.

Kids Digital Art Shuffle
Our core digital program for kids that opens up the world of digital art making by exposing young artists to the tools, software and inspiration to make art on a virtual canvas. Students develop their digital drawing skills by exploring layering, opacity, blending modes and other digital fundamentals using Sketchbook, Adobe Photoshop and XP-Pen Tables.

Young artists develop a higher level of critical thinking and problem solving skills through learning about elements of art making and contemporary art. Diverse projects in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media emphasize basic art making skills and help to build fine motor development.
