Corianne Darienzo | Director
Graduate of Montclair State University with her BFA in Illustration & Animation and began working at One River in 2017. She began as an art instructor, and currently teaches and works directly with the teaching staff. Corianne loves that One River is a "safe" place for young artists to collaborate and make art as a form of self-expression.
Anna Hoxha | Assistant Director of Education
Anna Hoxha graduated from William Paterson University with a MA in Teaching and a BA in Art. As a freelance mixed media artist, she enjoys hands-on art investigation and tinkering with different materials. Her enthusiastic teaching approach fosters her students’ exploration of artistic expression, creative thinking, and technical confidence. Anna loves teaching at One River because it allows students to elevate their art in a judgment-free creative learning environment.
Matt Gysin | Assistant Director of Education
Graduate of William Paterson University with a B.A. in media & film production. Matt is very passionate about the art of storytelling through film, digital animation, and theatre. His career in the arts began at various theater companies and now brings his love of digital art to One River School.
Hannah Weissman | Assistant Director of Education
Graduate of Keene State College with a Bachelors Degree in Studio Art. Her passion lies with abstract landscape painting and figure drawing. Her free form creative process encourages students to discover who they are as artists and to enjoy the process of it all.

William Prentiss | Instructor
Graduate of The Center For Cartoon Studies specializing in narrative art, humor, and production. Will is deeply passionate about visual storytelling and emotional content in art, and has learned what he can about it forms studying film, theater, art, and writing. He is eager to share everything he knows with his students.
Erica Murphy | Instructor
Graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College with A BFA in Visual Arts and a minor in Computer Science. Her experience teaching painting classes to framing final artworks have taken her through the creative process from beginning to end. Her passion for figure drawing and character design allows her to have a vast conceptual library that is forever expanding. She is excited to guide her students in digital or traditional mediums to bring their ideas to life.
Brianne Simon | Instructor
Graduate of Purchase College with a BFA in visual arts with a concentration in printmaking and a BA in art history. Brianne loves storytelling in all forms of art, and she especially loves multimedia drawing, book arts, and photography. As a teacher, she is passionate about encouraging the practice of making and being creative in students' lives.
John Prehart | Instructor
Graduate of William Paterson University with a BFA in fine arts with a concentration in painting and drawing. John has exhibited his work in various galleries and shows throughout the NY, NJ area. He specializes in landscape and wildlife art gaining his inspiration from nature. John also has a passion for teaching. For the past decade, he has been a painting instructor sharing his skills and techniques with his students. John is excited to be apart of the One River School family and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge with students of all ages.
Sophie Mahoney | Instructor
Sophie Mahoney graduated from Mason Gross School of Art at Rutgers University with a BFA in Visual Arts and concentration in painting. She is a freelance artist, primarily creating oil paintings, but also enjoys illustration and sculpture. Her goal as a teacher is to encourage students to explore new materials and techniques as well as grow their confidence and creativity in a judgment free space.
Kaitlin Brito | Instructor
Kaitlin Brito graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Illustration and is a freelance illustrator/designer in the world of editorial and commercial Illustration. Her Illustrations, made through inking and digital coloring, can be found in various publications across the country. Kaitlin is deeply passionate about the fun that comes from problem-solving in art making and extends this passion to her teaching endeavors. She finds great joy in guiding young artists to accomplish their creative goals through practice and encouragement, just as art teachers did for her throughout her life.
Angela Camenisch | Instructor
Angela graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in art education. She works with a variety of media but her favorite is acrylic painting. She creates colorful figurative works that critique issues dealing with body image, beauty standards, and other issues prevalent to her life with a surrealist twist. Her goal when teaching is to share her passion for making to her students and inspire them to create pieces that they care about.
Erica Travia | Instructor
Erica is a visual development artist specializing in environment design and concept art. She recently obtained her bachelor's degree at Savannah College of Art and Design, where she pursued animation with a concentration in storytelling and concept development. Erica is incredibly passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge with others, especially regarding the positive influence that art can have on students. She truly believes that art can inspire, motivate, and transform lives, and she can't wait to see what her students will create!
Danielle Leibowitz | Instructor
Danielle graduated from the University of Rhode Island, earning her B. in Communications & Marketing. After a few years in the classroom, she began working towards her MS in Early Childhood Education at Brooklyn College. Danielle has been teaching children’s art classes in a variety of settings for almost 10 years, primarily working with preschool and elementary students. Danielle loves to watch her students flourish in their own creativity and individuality, discover new skills, and find joy in making art!
