Presidents Day Camps

This camp will teach students about mandalas, and their ability to create patterns using materials they crafted themselves. This project will empower students to make their own decisions regarding color, placement, and design. In addition, students will hone their fine motor skills and visual acuity through the act of sorting and gluing colorful shapes.

Students in this camp will learn to simplify the complex shapes of various animals and translate them simply. They will also learn to recognize similarities between the anatomy of different animals. Participants will complete one graphite drawing of an animal, while focusing on drawing techniques like shading, line weight, cross-hatching and more.

This Procreate based camp will teach students how to create their own original chibi character by simplifying shapes and exaggerating emotions. Campers will learn how to change their brush styles and control line weight for cool dramatic effects. Students will learn how to express different features and draw in a stylistic manner in order to portray a narrative. * Students are required to bring their own iPad with Procreate downloaded

Featuring the Robo Rex, students will learn the engineering fundamentals needed to build their own robot! This hands on STEM workshop introduces students to the basics of circuitry and strengthen their problem-solving skills. When the robot is complete students get to exercise their creativity by decorating and customizing their own robots, which they’ll take home afterward for more fun!
