Painting Figures and Portraits

Students will create a realistic portrait drawing based on contemporary artist  Kehinde Wiley. They will choose a figure in pop culture, like an actor or musician, and place them against a “royal” pattern as the backdrop!

• Learn how to make a proportionate portrait
• Demonstrate knowledge of acrylic painting techniques
• Create a unique pattern for the background
